supporting the center.

The truth of it all - we can’t continue to keep our doors open without a community rallied around us. As we continue to serve our friends in need, we turn to you - our community - to link arms as we help those who need it most. Whether it is a $25 one-time donation, $5 a month, a case of water, a box of blankets, or even just the share of a post on Facebook, every little bit matters.

My name is Mobile Outreach Unit – or M.O.U. (pronounced Moe) for short. I was born out of a spark, ignited by the changes in the world that spoke loudly in what felt like deafening silence. The needs were known, but the ‘how’ was uncertain.

how do we serve this community?

how do we best help those in need?

how do they need us to show up for them?

Since its start, The Landing MN has prided themselves on building relationships with those they serve, and becoming genuine friends to those experiencing homelessness. By establishing trust, they can provide comfort and reassurance in a time of fear and uncertainty.  It was quickly realized that the next step wasn’t to inhabit a building and wait for the people to come to them, but to seek out those in need and serve them where they are at – both physically and metaphorically. So, The Landing MN decided to take their service to the streets.

that’s where I came into the picture.

I am the Mobile Outreach Unit, a 14’ box truck stocked full with essential items, clothing, toiletries and so much more. I operate as a mobile office, allowing coordinated housing intakes to take place at any location. I meet the needs of individuals city-wide, and will go wherever I am needed. I was born out of a spark, and hope to start a fire of change in my wake. Because everyone needs a soft place to land.

I am M.O.U., and it’s great to meet you.
